Francis Zonon originaire du Bénin (Afrique de l'ouest) berceau du Vodoun. Il fût déjà initié à l'âge de 5 ans dans les rites animistes Fon. L'animisme est un facteur majeur de sa créativité. Il découvrit très tôt en tant qu'élève la passion pour la musique et la danse théâtrale.

Encore étudiant  en 1982 au ISZ (Centre international d'études) de l'université de Heidelberg,  il fût populaire à travers son poème "Die Erde hat gebebt" - (La terre a tremblé)", et devînt de 1983 à 1986 membre du groupe musicale   "ShoKé" en tant que percussioniste, danseur, chorégraphe, balafoniste et poète.

Il créea en allemagne en 1990 le groupe folklorique africain "Azeto African Percussion" et  l'orchestre "Azana African Beat". Depuis 1992 Mr. Francis Zonon donne des cours de dance et de percussion dans diverses villes en allemagne, de france et de l'irlande

Depuis 1990, il organise toutes les années des Workshops de danse et percussion

  Francis Zonon stammt aus Benin (West-Afrika) Wiege des Voodoo, und wurde ab seinem 5. Lebensjahr in die animistischen Riten der Fon eingeführt. Der Animismus ist die treibende Kraft hinter seiner Kreativität. Die Musik- und Tanztheater-Leidenschaft begann bereits im ersten Schuljahr.

Im Jahr 1982 besuchte er das ISZ (Internationales Studienzentrum) der Universität - Heidelberg. dort wurde er durch sein Gedicht "Die erde hat gebebt" entdeckt und spielte vom 1883 bis 1986 im Musik-Ensemble "ShoKé" als Trommler, Tänzer, Choreograph, Balafonist und Dichter.

1990 gründete er in Deutschland die afrikanisch - folklorische Gruppe "Azeto African Percussion" und die erfolgreich Band "Azana African Beat". Seit 1992 gibt er Trommel- und Tanzunterricht in verschiedenen Städten Deutschlands, Frankreichs und Irlands.

Er organisiert seit 1990 in ganzem Europa verschiedene Tanz- und Trommelworkshops.

He gives 1992 drum - and dance instructions in different cities of Germany, France and Ireland. 
Since 1990 he organizes dance and percussion Workshops in the whole Europe.
